Autumn is not only pumpkin spice and cozy sweater season — it’s also craft fair season in and around Plattsburgh! Whether you want to get a jump start on your holiday shopping or you just really enjoy perusing through the wares of local artists and artisans, there is no shortage of markets and fairs to choose from and explore this November.
Held on November 2 at the Village of Dannemora Community Center, this annual craft fair features more than 45 vendors showcasing different types of crafts and holiday decorations that make perfect stocking stuffers and thoughtful gifts. There will also be plenty of food trucks on-site, so you can squeeze in a quick lunch break from shopping. Proceeds from the event will benefit the construction of the new Dannemora Community Center Walking Path.
This exhibition fair, held on November 16 at Cumberland Head Fire Dept, is hosted by the FD’s Ladies Auxiliary branch. Featuring crafts and other merchandise from local businesses, you’ll be sure to find the perfect gifts for your friends and all members of your family.
The biggest show in the region is held from November 23-24 at the SUNY Plattsburgh Field House. Browse through a fantastic and eclectic selection of woodwork, quilts, paintings, clothing, jewelry, pottery, home decor, and much more from 145 vendors. There’ll be plenty of food to snack on while you take a break from your marathon shopping. Admission is free for children 12 and under.
