The Holiday Village Stroll
returns to Lake Placid for 2021!

This annual Lake Placid tradition is beloved by all, including residents of nearby Plattsburgh, which is roughly one hour away by car.

This year’s Holiday Village Stroll is set to take place from December 10th until the 12th. Over the course of the weekend, there will be tons of festive events and activities for people of all ages.

Kicking things off on Friday, December 10th is a Healing Elements Other Side of Town Party, featuring all kinds of health and wellness gifts, as well as massage and facial demonstrations. Then there is the annual Skating Party at the Olympic Center 1932 Rink (Skate rentals are available and Santa and his elves might even make an appearance). Capping off Friday’s festivities is the Ugly Sweater Party at The Cottage (remember, the uglier the holiday sweater, the better).

Moving onto Saturday, December 11th, which begins with the annual Adirondack Health Jingle Bell Run/Walk at 8:30 am. Later on in the day, there is scheduled to be a TikTok Dance Class at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, a visit from The Grinch at Little Blue House, Holiday Story Time at St. Eustace Church, an appearance by Santa at Mid’s Park, and an open-air Christmas market on Main Street.

But that’s not all that’s in store for Saturday. In the evening, there will be a tree lighting celebration at 5:00 pm and “Believe,” the Skating Club of Lake Placid’s annual show, among other events.

The festivities end on Sunday, December 12th with a bang. Sunday’s schedule includes the likes of a showing of The Polar Express at the Palace Theatre at 11:00 am and Santa’s Fire Truck Parade at 4:00 pm.

The Holiday Village Stroll is the perfect way for couples and families alike to spend the holiday season.

If you’re going to be in Plattsburgh between December 10th and 12th, then we suggest planning a day trip to Lake Placid and taking part in this annual tradition. And if you need a place to stay during your trip, you’re always welcome at the Best Western Plus Plattsburgh.
