The Adirondack Coast is one of the most beautiful places in the country to visit in the summer. The area offers everything from hiking and biking to swimming and fishing — not to mention there is no shortage of fantastic events happening. Check out what’s going on in August:

PLATTSBURGH BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

The eight annual Plattsburgh Bluegrass Festival takes place on August 8-11 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. The festival will feature three full days of must-see musicians including local favorites the Gibson Brothers and Smokey Greene, who is currently on his farewell tour.

2019 ADIRONDACK COAST CRAFT BEVERAGE FESTIVAL

Formerly known as the Plattsburgh Brewfest, the Adirondack Coast Craft Beverage Festival is now in its fifth edition. The event features local brewers, wineries, cideries, and spirit makers, as well as live music. Don’t miss it, at the Elfs Farm Winery & Cider House!

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM

From July 31 until August 4, the Adirondack Shakespeare Company will be performing their rendition of Shakespeare’s magical comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Reber Rock Farm. Take in a performance and support the local professional theatre.
